Castle Museum - Experience 1300 Years of History

The exhibition focuses on the former inhabitants of the castle. Today the medieval keep brings to life  Heinrich von Strättlingen’s living environment with its jousting knights and serenading minstrels. In the Gothic parlour rooms visitors encounter Adrian von Bubenberg, sitting atop his warhorse, and the second floor is dedicated to Franz Ludwig von Erlach, his two wives and 37 children. A feast is being prepared in the castle kitchens and in the Baroque hall a lute plays a merry tune..

Enjoy the castle rooms and find out about times gone by. Timelines contextualize the castle's history and media stations invite you to delve deeper and study the details. 3D-viewers allow visual leaps back in time and the hands-on stations bring past times to life - a great experience for children and families.

Tip: If you climb the castle tower, you will be rewarded with a 360° panorama of the lake, mountains and vineyards.
